Josh (“JJ”) currently serves as the Wing First Sergeant for the 127th Wing at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Michigan. He is also the Coach of the Air Force Cycling Team and the Deputy Director of the Air Force Heritage Memorial to Memorial (M2M) ride. He’s happiest when motivating Airmen to reach new limits.

JJ began his distinguished career on Active Duty in the U.S. Air Force in 2009 and transitioned to the Air National Guard in 2017. Inspired by the rugged environment of Cannon AFB, New Mexico, he began organizing multisport events to engage Airmen and promote fitness. That early drive evolved into a lifelong commitment to endurance sports and leadership.

He has competed in over 150 events across the U.S., Asia, and Europe—including multiple RAGBRAIs with the AFCT—and has raced nationally with the U.S. Air Force Triathlon Team, the Colorado State University Triathlon Team, and the Air Force Marathon Teams.

Beyond his work with Airmen and veterans, JJ is a coach and mentor to athletes around him. He’s more than a leader in the sports community—he’s a force for good within it. Contact him today to take the next step in your fitness journey.
