BK (Before Kids), June flew KC135s in the Air Force. DK (During Kids), she homeschooled her
4 kids and followed Bob around the Air Force. AK (After Kids), she plays with 9 grandkids, and
volunteers with church, Samaritan’s Purse, and hospice. But through all these crazy phases,
the consistency has been God and family, and working out – triathlons (even one Ironman),
running, hiking, and bicycling. Our oldest and youngest daughters have each ridden 2
RAGBRAIs with us, and I think the youngest is going to keep going! I feel honored to be part of this team. I lost count, but I think this year (2026) will be 23 RAGBRAIs, and I thoroughly
enjoyed the inaugural M2M ride (except breaking the collarbone and rib part). I am an Iowa
farm girl, so RAGBRAI is like going home, and I love the relationships we build on our team and
with others along the way.
