Executive Director Larry Gallo, DSN 945-3308

Larry is the Section Chief for Maintenance Support to the C5 Aircraft at the 433rd Airlift Wing Lackland Air Force Base. He is an Endurance Athlete who enjoys Cycling and Running. He has competed in Half Iron Man distance triathlons in Colorado and Texas. His focus is on making the team’s presence known across the US as he networks with similar organizations that promote the military and fitness. He began his successive RAGBRAI stretch in 2005.

   
Deputy Director Tim Herbert

Tim serves as Production Expediter at the 5th AMXS for the B-52H located in the tropical paradise of Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota. He initially served as an MTI 2004-2010 and he is an Extreme Endurance Athlete who enjoys Cycling and Running. He has completed close to 50 marathons and several ultra-distance races. He is also an avid triathlete, and if there is a huge pain factor involved you can rely on Tim to be first in line with pen in hand. 2013 was his first year as the Support Director. He joined the Air Force Team in 2009 through the Texas Team with Larry Gallo as his team lead. Tim’s Favorite part of RAGBRAI is meeting and riding with Air Force members from across the country.

Asst Support Director Joshua “IRONMAN” Hull

Josh is a Crew Chief currently working with the 5th MXS stationed at Minot AFB, North Dakota were he supports the B-52H. He is an Ultra Endurance Athlete having completed three of the most challenging IRONMAN courses in North America, IRONMAN Coeur d’Alene, Lake Tahoe in 2015, and IRONMAN Canada in 2016. Josh has served as a Ceremonial Guardsman with the USAF Honor Guard in Washington D.C. and was the NCOIC of the Minot AFB Honor Guard. He values the importance of representing the United States Air Force to the American public and looks forward to building new relationships being an ambassador for the U.S. Air Force Cycling Team!

   
Treasurer Devon Destefano, DSN 559-7154

Devon is the Electrical and Environmental Element Chief for flight-line C5's at the 439 Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Westover Air Reserve Base, MA. Devon also runs the unit's fitness program and serves as the assistant 1st sergeant. Devon is an avid cyclist and fitness enthusiast. He is a family man first, but if he's not spending time with his wife or 3 boys, he can be found on his bike (outside or on the trainer). 2016 was Devon's first of many Ragbrai's to come.

   
Registration POC Bob Lindner, June Lindner

Bob and June Lindner both flew KC-135s in the Air Force. Bob retired in 2006 after 28 years of service. He has worked behind the scenes with Stu Carter and other Team directors to make this team successful. Bob is a graduate of the United Bicycle Institute School of Advanced Mechanics and Wheel-building, and he will be found in camp assisting teammates with mechanical issues and tuning. After 9 years in the AF, June decided to homeschool their 4 kids. She runs and competes in triathlons, including completing one Ironman. She loves the people she meets in her home state on RAGBRAI. She feels totally blessed to be part of the Texas and Air Force teams and associate with such awesome people. We are pretending that we are not getting older.

Board Member Mike Hall, Commercial, 303-677-2631

Mike currently works at Buckley AFB. Mike has been riding since 2012 and has attended multiple RAGBRAI trips. He loves camping, hiking, skiing and would be scuba diving at every minute if possible. Little do people know: Mike was a professional clogger and Ballroom dancer in high school and college, with appearances on Star Search, The Miss America Pageant, and several World Olympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies. Cycling is a way to stay in shape after retiring from dance in 2005. Finally, Mike spends most of his time with his wife and kids, and looks forward to future RAGBRAIs.
